Ant-Man and the Wasp. 6/10 It was entertaining to watch but had a dead plot. MCU could have done without making this movie and just telling us that characters accomplished what they did in the movie in Avengers or something like that without a problem.

Whitney 7.5/10

Good and pretty tear-jerking, but I never felt like I got to know who Whitney Houston was as a person.

Gangs of New York

8/10

I would have given this a Perfick score, but there’s some acting choices I can’t get past nowadays.  Like certain parts of Amsterdam’s accent just tick me off...certain scenes just seem like they’re in there just to be like “hey! Look what we shot! It’s a fuckin dance!”

Still loved it, though. DDL is, was, and forever will be the best.

The Equaliser 2: 8.3/10

It's a rare day when a film featuring Denzel Washington is considered 'bad' - this is *not* one of those days, at all. Actually enjoyed this one better than the first movie and found it to be engaging throughout whilst keeping my interest. Highly recommend you go watch it

Tomb Raider (the new one) - 0/10

Jesus fuck. I watched the first ten minutes and saw allllll I needed to see. Cool pointless boxing match! She got her ass kicked? Awwww is she gonna learn to “push through it?” Fuck you. And what’s with the cool kid dialogue at the fuckin bike courier shop? Fuck all of you!! I felt like I was watching Dark Angel. You know what? I’d rather watch Dark Angel. At least JAlba has an ass.

Tomb Raider sucked.

Should have stuck it out. I just watched it this morning.

Tomb Raider (2018) - 7/10.

It starts really shitty I will admit, but man as soon as Lara gets to the island it's balls to the wall action. Alicia Vikander isn't exactly how I would envision a real life Lara Croft, but she is a PHENOMENAL actress and played her character better than I thought she would. Very underrated actress. The story is loosely based around the 2013 video game and I wish it stuck to how the story went there a bit more, but it worked fine with me.

It wasn't a perfect movie by any means and has its flaws, with it's fair share of cheesy lines and obvious CGI work, but I thought it was fine and probably one of the best movie renditions of a video game title for a long time. I know that isn't saying much, but this is a small step in the right direction for the future of movie adaptations.

Luck (Bollywood Movie): 4.5/10

- Cast was given a very bland script
- Title track is the only good thing about a boring soundtrack.
- Outside of the legends hired, no one really stood out in the cast.
- None of the death games after the first one were cool
- Killed the career of all the young actors in the movie.

Space Battleship Yamato (2010 Live action movie)- 8/10

In the year 2199, Aliens have started attacking the earth. dropping meteor-like bombs that cause some sort of radiation. The people of Earth have fled underground and the entire planet is in ruin. Meanwhile, the Japanese government is trying to combat it by sending out Space Fleets only to have them be destroyed. With one last major ship left, Japan sends out a reincarnation of the Yamato on an exploration mission that could save the earth from destruction.

- The premise is cool, gives off a Star Trek/Star Wars feel of course.
- The Space fights are fantastic. CGI was on point for the entire movie.
- The casting was great as this was a big budget Japanese flick. Stars my favorite actor Takuya Kimura and Haruna's favorite actress  Meisa Kuroki in the lead. Japanese legend Tsutomu Yamazaki plays Captain Okita in an amazing performance IMO.
- Based on the legendary franchise of the same name.

Venon 8.5/10

I don't care what anyone said, Venom is my third favorite Marvel character (behind Spiderman and Ironman) so this is a joy to me. While Tom Hardy put a better performance than Topher Grace, I like Venom's design and the way Eddie Brock transforms to Venom in Spiderman 3 better actually, lol.

First Man: 0/10 The Moon Landing was faked.

JK... It's a decent movie and very in depth with the whole process. Almost felt like a documentary. Damien Chazelle is a great director and it showed here. 8/10

PULP FUCKING FICTION 9/10

This movie is near perfect. The only problem with it is, as amazing and visionary as the cinematography is, I'd imagine someone uninformed or new to the style is going to be confused. Otherwise, the dialogue is absolutely perfect and the hype that this movie has gathered over the years is absolutely valid.

Since I saw them on the same day --

Halloween, 10/10. The slasher movie stan in me was crying tears of joy. The Halloween franchise is my favorite, and seeing this return to form made me SO happy. It still kinda sucks that so much shit got retconned, but it was necessary at this juncture. I really fucked with the cast heavy. Jamie Lee Curtis is a force of nature as Laurie, Judy Greer is awesome as Karen, and Andi Matchiak as Allyson was wonderful. There's a lot of awesome side characters that I won't spoil, but I'll say whoever cast this shit is my hero. This movie succeeded in making Michael scary again, and that's primarily bolstered by how brutal some of these kills are. Seriously. This senior citizen gotta outta Smith's Grove and don't know how to act. I also like how the shooting location actually looks like what Haddonfield, Illinois would ideally look like (considering the original was shot in Pasadena in fucking March). The score is on point too, as one would expect since John Carpenter is back. There was a lot to love.

The Hate U Give, 9/10. I never did get around to reading the book (which is still pretty recent, idr if it came out last year or the year before), but this movie was wonderful. This is another one with a dope cast in Amandla Stenberg, Regina Hall, Common, KJ Apa, Issa Rae, Sabrina Carpenter, and others. I loved how real it was and how human and multi-dimensional the characters were. Starr was an amazing narrator, too. I found my heart sinking throughout most of the movie due to the sad reality of what was going on, but that was what made it good.

The Blues Brothers, 10/10.

Greatest fucking comedy that I've ever seen. Watching it a third time has absolutely not changed my mind about that. It is a spectacle unlike any other and I fully recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it. You will not regret it.
