It's late enough to do this, right?

I'm sure I am forgetting some. Literally had to look for my playlist of this year's favs cause I forgot some album names and shit lol

Kids See Ghosts - Kanye West and Kid Cudi
? - xxxtentacion
Kamikaze - Eminem
Daytona - Pusha T
Glitter - 070 Shake
Swimming - Mac Miller
YE - Kanye West
I Used to Know Her - H.E.R. (Still need to listen to Pt. 2 but prelude was fantastic)
Nasir - Nas
Beerbongs & Bentleys - Post Malone (I know he gets a lot of hate but he's an actual artist and I got mad respect for his work)

HM: The Carters by The Carters

I haven't listened to that much Rock music this year but I'd say the new Beartooth record is up there.

More and more as the years pass, the more alienated I get from modern popular music. Rock and roll is in pretty bad shape and I'm not sure if it'll ever be really big on the charts anymore so I don't even listen to the radio or follow that. Hip hop and rap music just befuddle and confuse the hell out of me and I just hear songs that are hits nowadays and go, "Why the fuck do people like this?". I guess it's called getting old.

Only one album sticks out to me. The Lemon Twigs' Go To School. Blending 60's and 70's pop with musical theater to create a crazy, melodic over the top rock musical about a monkey being adopted by human parents. It's dumb, it's pretentious, it's beautiful.

In no particular order because I can't choose one.

Kids See Ghosts - Kanye West and Kid Cudi
Tha Carter V  - Lil Wayne
ASTROWORLD- Travis Scott
Taboo - Denzel Curry
DiCaprio2 - JID
Daytona - Pusha T
Oxnard - Anderson .Paak
Nasir - Nas
Kamikaze - Eminem
Black Panther Soundtrack
YSIV - Logic

I am definitely missing out on a lot of them but these are the ones that came to my mind.

I'm gonna be honest, with the age of music apps and everything now, I don't listen to a lot of full albums anymore.  Not when I can just click on any song I like and add it to my playlist.  That said, these are the only full albums I can think of off the top of my head that I've listened to multiple times that came out this year.

Kamikaze - Eminem
All Of It - Cole Swindell
When Legends Rise - Godsmack

Late but my favorite album last year was Samurai Session Volume 3 by Miyavi and all the collaborators. Miyavi nails down his music so well and the album doesn't have one bad track!

EVEN SAMUEL L. JACKSON WAS THERE TO DO A COLLAB AS THE VOICE FOR THE INTRO OF THE ALBUM!

Black Panther Soundtrack - (This one was easy. If my love for Kung Fu Kenny wasn't apparent to anyone, welcome to the party because I'm on a never ending Kendrick kick. His involvement is of course crucial to the album, but many stars shine as well as him too. Specifically, alot of members of TopDawg get nods on this record. Definitely a record to hear if you missed it by chance or maybe even didn't buy in to all the Black Panther hype) (Favorite Song: X)

'Redemption' - Jay Rock - (My love for TD doesn't limit to just Kendrick. The entire label seems to have massive talent. Jay Rock is definitely one of these people. His way of describing things is modern and interesting. His flow is extremely good and his word play is awesome.) (Favorite Song: WIN)

'DiCaprio 2' - JID - (MY SWEET GOD, THIS MAN IS TALENTED. JID has been slept on for a long time, and while this album did get some attention, it is still quite slept on. JID seems to rap in cursive. Every single line connects to the next so well and smooth that you feel like your ears are walking on water. Working Out is definitely a song I must give a nod even though it didn't make my favorite tune on the album... Which waaaaaaasssss...) (Favorite Song: Off Deez ft. J.Cole)

I might come back and do a few more later.

I don't know, Japanese musics rarely releasing an album and they released singles instead. So my favorite singles are both Keyakizaka's double single, Garasu wo Ware! and Ambivalent.

yeah, I rarely listening to American/Western songs, not even my own local songs because I'm such a weeb trash.
