PostOWA Promos! (CLOSED AS OF 1/14/20)

Here is where you can post your work for upcoming matches on weekly shows or major events, or just put up a piece for character development. Before you get started here are the rules of the page!
-There is a TWO promo/2000 word limit for our regular bi-weekly shows and THREE promo/3000 word limit for our major events!

-If everyone involved in a match would like to extend or shorten the promo limit due to personal circumstances or preference, you have two days at the start of the new promo week to confirm with a member of the writing team the agreed upon limit for your match, if not it will remain the standard limit set for bi-weeklies and major shows.

-You must wait 48 HOURS before double posting. If your opponent has not responded to your first promo within a 48 hour period and you'd like to release another, you may do so. However keep in mind that with the promo limit, if you expend both promos, your opponent has the right to do their two (or three on a PPV week) uninterrupted.

-The page is not a place to make challenges or try to book matches!

-Do not break kayfabe! Remember that everything is entirely storyline based and there is no reason to either take things personally, or make it personal for someone else.

-Have fun! Enjoy writing your work and feel free to hit up the chat for feedback!

WHAT UP, NERDS?!

Another day, another opportunity. I love keeping to the norm.

I won’t lie, I’m pretty nervous about Final Destination this weekend. I haven’t exactly wrestled in front of a crowd this large in my career very often. But, what type of woman would I be if I didn’t take the challenge head on? And it’s not just any challenge because at Final Destination, I walk into a Six Woman Elimination Challenge for the OWA Goddesses Championship. These are the matches I feed on; the matches where I have my head in the game more than anything. When the stakes are high, I thrive.

The right to be called a champion in professional wrestling isn’t exactly an easy feat and only three of the goddesses in this match, including myself of course, have ever achieved the right of calling themselves a champion. One of them is the current reigning and defending OWA Goddesses Champion in Nikita LaShae. The other is the inaugural and former OWA Goddesses Champion in Dulce Torres. To me, they are the biggest threats in this match. I look at Eris, I look at Natasha Night and I look at Nicole Fyre, and while I’m sure they’re going to be putting on their A-game in this one, they don’t exactly quite know the lengths they need to go through in order to win a championship, let alone winning it with five other motivated women in the match.

So, let’s get started, shall we?

Dulce Torres, you weren’t exactly shy when it came to opening your mouth about everybody in this match this week. You seemed like you had a lot to say about me actually. But, what was it that you said? Megan Raine? I haven’t gone by that name in a long time. Do your research before opening your mouth, sweetheart. I’ve been roaming these locker rooms longer than you have and you can’t even take the time out to actually get your facts straight. You’re a smart woman, Dulce. You should know better than this. What you have said about me is nothing but facts, but it’s nothing that I haven’t already established myself. And yeah, I quit. Things began to become too much for me to handle, I had a lot on my plate outside of the ring, and I thought maybe leaving here and getting my mind right before coming back would help. And boy did it. I mean, in just under two months I find myself in a championship match already. In my first match back, I helped Viola DeMarco retain her role as the General Manager of Odyssey. I would never twist the small break you took away and use it as a vocal point for what I have to say about you. Why would I? I did the exact same. Except the difference is I had a much longer absence. In that time away though, I managed to rebuild myself and really think about what it is I wanted out of this business. I managed to become stronger, quicker, and overall just better. The desires and ambitions remain the same but my attitude had to take a drastic change if I wanted to get where it is that I wanted to go. Where I want to go is up and I want to be back on top in women’s professional wrestling once again, and hopefully with the hard work I’ve put in and the changes I’ve made to myself I will get there. I think you’re underestimating me, Dulce. I think that you believe me quitting and you not makes you believe you’re on a higher level than I am. Let me hit you with some reality, hun. You fell off that pedestal of yours the moment you lost your championship to a woman who wasn’t even in this company for two months. You fell and you fell hard. You hide it well but I see the cracks showing. You couldn’t handle being a woman with a large target on her back any longer. Tell me I’m wrong. Please, prove me wrong. You said it yourself, the loss strung you and you felt very attached to it, but you couldn’t quite handle the load you had to carry. You told me to choose my words carefully, but I think it’s you who should be doing that.

And as for the champ herself. I won’t lie, you winning the title so early in your career here on Odyssey was an incredible feat. Kind of reminds me of myself when I won the Specialists Title back in 2017. You have quite the challenge ahead of yourself though, Nikita. Not only is your first title defence against five other women but it’s on the biggest show of the whole year in front of 80,000+ inside the State Farm Stadium. I mean, the pressure is REALLY on for you. This is your opportunity to prove to not only yourself but to the entire world that your win over Dulce wasn’t just a giant fluke. To me, I think you found yourself in the right place at the right time. You were challenging an already mentally wounded Dulce Torres in a one on one scenario and you had a wave of momentum behind you. In fact, you still do, but at Final Destination, that momentum will come to a grinding halt. At Final Destination, your 15 minutes of fame ends and you will be sent right back down the rankings quicker than you could ever imagine. I have a lot of respect for your come-up Nikita and a lot of respect for you as a talent, but when it comes to this match, all bets are off.

As for the other three women in this match, Eris you are brutal. You went at it with Natalie Cage for months and actually almost took away her opportunity to challenge Azumi Goto for the title at Final Destination. But, what have you done lately? Nicole Fyre, someone who’s become a good friend of mine since we both returning around the same time and helped  save Viola DeMarco’s job on Odyssey. You yourself are quite talented… when you show up. I bet you could have made quite a name for yourself if you didn’t keep showing up to companies for a month and then leaving for nine. And as for Natasha, the current Queen of the Ring. Your greed will be your downfall. You’re coming into this match with the mindset of walking out with not only that ring but also a title to show for it. You could have the prime opportunity to be a double-champion on Odyssey. You won’t. I won’t allow it. Neither will the other five women in this match.

This is it, ladies. We have the chance to steal the show at Final Destination. So let’s do it. The only question remains is: who will walk out as the OWA Goddesses Champion?

The question is, of course, rhetorical because the answer is yours truly.

The Storm is coming…

The Storm is coming…

THE STORM IS COMING.

Hard Work Pays Off

Phoenix, Arizona
April 17, 2019

“Thank you SO much.”

“Not a problem at all.  Enjoy the show this weekend.”

Jeff hands the autographed photo to the last of the fans that had lined up to meet him and the owner of the small wrestling memorabilia shop rushes the fan out the door before flipping the open sign to closed.  Jeff sighs as he gets up from the table and stretches.  The shop owner turns to him and laughs.

“There’s beer in the office in the back.  I figured you’d want some.”

“You’re a God damned hero.”

“Haha.  Take your time man.  I still got plenty of closing duties to do here and you’re probably gonna want to let that crowd out there clear out before you try to leave anyway.”

Jeff nods appreciatively as he walks past the “Employees Only” sign and the camera follows him into a small break room/office area.  He heads straight towards the fridge in the corner and a look of relief washes over his face when he opens it up and sees a whole shelf lined with cans of cold Bud Light.  He grabs two of them before going and plopping down on the couch, finally getting to relax for a moment.  He cracks open the first of his cans and takes a long drink before leaning his head back, listening to the television as SportCenter quietly hypes up Final Destination in the background.

“Nobody told me about everything that goes into Final Destination week.  I thought the road to get here was tough, but shit.  All of these press conferences, meet and greets, and talk shows are going to be the death of me.  I know that I should be relishing these moments.  That all of this is just part of the buildup to the greatest spectacle the wrestling industry has ever seen.  But honestly, I’m just ready for this weekend to arrive.  Putting on a collared shirt and answering questions for reporters isn’t why I got into this company.  Sitting at a table and spending hours signing thousands of pictures isn’t where I feel comfortable.  No.  Inside that ring is where I feel most at home.  And being inside that ring is what got me here...to Final Destination.  I haven’t minced my words when I’ve spoken of Final Destination in the past.  I’ve made it well known how badly I’ve wanted my place on the card.  And not just in some pre-show battle, but a marquee spot.  I knew it wouldn’t just be given to me.  No, not all of us are as lucky as Nate Cage in that regard.  If I wanted it, I would have to earn it.  So I did.  Winning the Keys to Kingdom at Divine Retribution gave me a clear pathway to exactly where I wanted to go.  All I needed then was a successful defense against Nathan Fiora to give me my match.  I achieved that easily enough.  From there it was just deciding what to do next.  Do I cash in my Keys for a shot at the Spartan’s title?  Or do I instead defend those Keys at Final Destination to earn a future shot at the World Championship?  I must admit I struggled mightily with the choice at first.  On one hand, the World Championship is viewed by most as the premier title to hold in our industry.  But is it really though?  I look at Layne Kurobane’s reign as Spartan Champion and it becomes a true argument as to which belt is really the most important on Kingdom.  Layne, I have to hand it to you.  You have defended that title against all comers and in the process have elevated the Spartan’s Championship to heights most thought to be impossible.  Truth be told I was already leaning towards talking to Tressler and cashing in my keys for a shot at you.  We all know that taking that belt from around you waist would make the career for the man who managed to do it.  I wanted that to be me.  I wanted that challenge.  And I know you want it too because that’s exactly the kind of champion that you are.  But nevertheless, I was still a little conflicted.  It was a big decision to make after all and I wanted to take my time and not overthink it.  But then...my decision became all too easy.”

Jeff notices an ashtray on the table next to him, so he assumes it’s ok to smoke and decides to light up a cigarette.  After a long drag, he breathes a heavy cloud of smoke into the room and has another drink.

“Because then Nate Cage made his intentions clear.  He also wanted to be the one to take that Spartans title from you.  So once Cage laid that challenge down, I knew what I had to do.  I didn’t even need to hear you response, Layne.  I already knew that, despite Cage doing literally nothing to earn it, you’d accept the challenge.  You’ve made a career here out of not backing down from challenges and I knew it would be no different with this one.  So I cashed in my Keys for my title shot to make your match a triple threat.  While I may have been on the fence at first, the combination of the glory that will come from supplanting you as champion, as well as the pleasure that will come with denying Nate Cage something that he so strongly desires...that’s just too much for me to pass up.”

Jeff sits up as the TV is now highlighting his triple threat match.  He watches as they replay footage from months ago when he and Nate Cage drove a jeep off the stage through barbed wire mesh.  Smiling slyly, he hits his smoke once more.

“It’s funny how things come full circle isn’t it?  Do you remember how this little rivalry of ours got started, Nate?  No, it wasn’t the God of War tournament.  While our words may have gotten a little personal in the days leading up to our match, that was just business.  We’d never met each other before and we were thrown into a match where the two of us were just trying to do our jobs.  Sure we may not have liked each other, but that pure hatred between us that exists today truly started just a few short weeks later.  When Layne was still in the early days of his Spartans Championship reign.  I distinctly remember one particular episode of Kingdom where good ol’ Layne Kurobane walked down to that ring and asked anyone in the back who wanted to be the next one to challenge him for his newly won crown.  Not surprising, looking back on it now.  It’s moves like that that have made Layne a star in the company.  But I wasn’t trying to miss out on that opportunity.  It was I that answered your challenge, Layne.  You remember?  Or at least I intended to.  Before I could even make my way down the ramp I was attacked from behind by Cage.  And instead it paved the way for that insignificant twat, Reginald Dampshaw to accept Layne’s challenge.  So while Layne got to dispatch of Dampshaw just a few weeks later, that attack by Nate Cage set off a series of events that spiraled more and more out of control each and every week and has led to one of the fiercest rivalries that this company has ever seen.  From parking lot brawls, to press conference fights, hometown invasions, and even a car crash...week after week of sheer brutality that never has gotten a fitting conclusion.  Sure, we may have tried to get some closure during Righteous Rules, but all that resulted in was the both of us making a trip to the hospital and no winner ever being declared.  So our hatred for one another just burned on.  And it all started all those months ago when you cost me my chance at the Spartans Title.  And now...now I’m going to return that favor, Nate.”

Jeff pauses to put his cigarette out in the ashtray and take another swig from his beer.

“But Layne, I don’t want you to make the mistake of thinking I’m only in this because of Cage.  No, no, no.  Please don’t be naive enough to think all of my attention is on him and that you’ll just be able to use that to your advantage.  I’ve been watching you since the moment you’ve arrived here and I’ve been listening to what you have had to say as well...especially this week.  It would appear to me that you’re already taking the both of us lightly.  As if neither of us have any chance at all of dethroning you simply because nobody has been able to do it yet.  While your reign has admittedly been long and impressive, you haven’t put that belt of yours on the line against anybody of my caliber Layne.  Hell, you haven’t even defended it against anyone on Nate’s level.  For all the things I can say negative about Cage, I have been to war against that man and I can promise you that things get bloody and violent rather quickly.  This weekend you will find yourself right in the middle of that violence, Layne.  Are you prepared for that?  Are you prepared for the absolute chaos that ensues every time Nate and I wind up in the same room together...let alone the same ring?  Judging by your comments, I would say no.  And that...that will be your downfall, Layne.  You’ve had a great run.  You’ve been as honorable a champion as there’s ever been in this company.  I respect that.  Hell, I respect you.  Who knows?  Maybe after this Sunday, I’ll take you up on that drink offer.  I might even buy you one too.  It’ll be the least I can do after take that shiny gold belt from around your waist.”

Jeff finishes what remains in his can before cracking open the other.  He glances up at the TV again as they show highlights from the press conference on Sunday night in which all hell broke loose among Kingdom’s top stars - Jeff included.

“It’s hard to believe that Final Destination is mere few days away.  It hasn’t always been easy.  The road that I took to get to this point has been bumpier than Adam Levine’s face before Proactiv.  I’ve had a lot of highs and a lot of lows.  But in the end, it was all worth it.  Because I fight this weekend for the OWA Spartans Championship.  My first opportunity to cement my legacy in this company with a title win.  And that’s what this whole match is all about, isn’t it?  All of our personal opinions about one another aside...walking out with the Spartans Title is the ONLY thing that truly matters.  All three of us our confident.  And we have every reason to be.  I haven’t been pinned since before Clash of Titans.  Layne is in the midst of the longest title reign in OWA today.  And Nate...well, Nate got beat up by his little sister but for some reason he’s feeling really confident about that too.  I don’t know why, don’t ask me...but my point is every one of us truly believes that they are going to be champion when the smoke clears and all is said and done.  The so called experts on TV right now...their conflicted.  I've been watching and their predictions are all over the board.  Some of them think Layne’s ability will carry him to a successful defense.  Some think Nate’s tenacity and villainous tactics will allow him to be victorious.  But the one’s picking me?  Those are the people that ESPN are going to be handing bonuses to on Monday morning.  Because I am going to walk out of that ring carrying the Spartans Championship not just because I want it more...but because I need it more.  I have more to lose than either of my two opponents.  Layne has already received one opportunity at the World Title in a match that has been heralded as an instant classic against Scott Oasis.  If...or rather WHEN...he drops the belt this weekend, management is going to want to recreate that magic he had at Clash of Titans.  I guarantee it won’t be long at all until he’s thrown right back into the World Title picture...especially considering that he no longer has to worry about defending the championship that I’m going to take from him.  His career is going to be fine.  And Nate Cage?  Shit, Nate’s already proven to have the uncanny ability to annoy people enough that he eventually gets the matches that he wants.  That’s why he’s in this match in the first place.  So I’m sure that after Final Destination, he will find somebody else whose skin he can crawl under to further his career.  Or maybe he’ll piggyback on someone else’s success again like he did with Kenny Drake.  But me?  I’ve had to scratch and claw my way from the very bottom to get to where I am now.  I EARNED my place in this match by working my fucking ass off for months and months, ripping off win after win in the process.  If I were to somehow falter this weekend, I won’t be able to walk out with my head held high, knowing that I had a championship reign to be proud of.  I won’t be able to go back to the locker room as the leader of a stable that can easily use their numbers advantage to plot a way to put me back in the spotlight again.  No, if I lose, I will drop right back down that ladder that I’ve worked so god damned hard to climb and there just isn’t any chance in hell that I’m going to let that happen.  I’ve spent the better part of the last year pouring my blood and sweat into that OWA ring to get to Final Destination and I will be damned if I’m going to let it all be for naught.”

Jeff again pauses to take a drink and to lower his voice a little as he had begun to get louder with each word he spoke.

“So Layne Kurobane...they call you the Stormbringer...I challenge you to bring that storm to Final Destination.  Hell, if there’s anyone in this fucking company that has proven that they can survive a storm, it’s me.  I want you to bring everything that you have...every single thing that you  have learned over the years that has allowed you to keep that precious title of yours for so long and put it all out there so that when the bell rings at the end of the match, you will know in your heart of hearts that there isn’t a single other thing that you could have done differently.  That you gave it EVERYTHING you had.  I don’t want you to have any regrets once Julianna DeMarco announces me as the new champion.  And Nate...Nate, I want you to keep holding on that lone win that you have over me way during the God of War tournament.  The one that you just love to keep throwing in my face.  That win you earned WAY back when we were both wildly different competitors.  You were still in Wolvesden.  The Keys to Kingdom wasn’t even an idea in anyone’s mind.  We didn’t see red every single time we fucking looked at one another.  For some reason that little win you have brings you so much joy in life.  That’s good.  You’re going to need that joy after Final Destination when I destroy that little pipe-dream you have of becoming Spartans Champion.  And when you walk to the back after our match...after you’ve failed to win that title for the second time in your career...when you’re looking at Donny and James, as their beaten and dejected failure of a leader...I want you to look at the bright side...at least you’ll be able to tell them all about that one time you beat the new Spartan’s Champion in the God of War tournament on Kingdom.”

Just then the shop owner emerges into the break room.

“Hey, just thought I’d let you know that the crowd outside has cleared out if you wanted to head out.”

Jeff nods as he stands and chugs what remains of his Bud Light before tossing both cans into a nearby trash bin.

“Yeah, might as well get out of here.  Appreciate the beers bud, but I do have a championship to win...and plus the damn SportsCenter guys are talking about soccer now anyway.”

Jeff shakes the mans hand and walks out of the room as the broadcasters on TV recap Tottenham’s Champions League Quarterfinals victory over Man City.

Final Destination Pt 1
Post April 17th 2019, 5:30 pm by Christopher Sabertooth
The Journey

“Big show today. We’ve got about 100 people out there. I don’t have to tell you how important this is for us. Go out there and put on a show, like your lives depend on it. You never know who is watching. This is where you show that Aberdeen Championship Wrestling is the real deal. You heard me?” Asked The Booker.

“YES CHIEF!” Screamed a group of young wrestlers.

“I said, you heard me?!” Screamed the Booker enthusiastically.

“YES CHIEF!!!” Responded the wrestlers.

“That’s what I’d like to hear. Now go out there and give it your all. I am proud of all of you. Someday… You’ll look back to this very moment as a focal point of your career. Big things are coming your way. Now get going!Said The Booker as the crowd dispersed. The Booker stares right into the camera.

“What are you doing? You should go get changed. Are you recording?” Asked The Booker.

“How can I not? This is what I live for. I am proud to work with you, Chief. Thank you for believing in me.” Said the man with the camera, with a familiar voice.

“Oh come on. This is no time to get emotional. We have a lot of work to do. You will kill it. I know you can, Chris.” Said the Booker as the camera pans around to reveal a young Christopher Sabertooth smirking to end the scene.

-x-

“What are you watching?” Asked Rocky as Sabertooth quickly switches off the TV, embarrassed.

“It’s nothing. How long have you been standing here?” Asked Chris to be met with a smirk by Rocky.

“Well… I almost saw you tearing up at the video you were watching. I always wondered, why you stopped documenting your matches. Those are some good throwbacks and a constant reminder of your journey to what you are today.” Said Rocky as Sabertooth tries to avoid eye contact out of embarrassment.

“Maybe because I didn’t expect to be sharing these moments with anybody. At least, willingly.” Said Chris as Rocky breaks into laughter.

“Oh, I can leave. So, you can go back to snuggling on the couch and watching 15 year old Sabertooth trying to make a mark in the world of wrestling. Should I pass on some tissues from the kitchen while I am on my way? Said Rocky, sarcastically.

“Oh shut up. You can join me, if you want. But bring some Single Malt. I cannot do this sober… Not with you around.” Said Chris as Rocky playfully nods and grabs a bottle of Scotch from the bar behind them. He sits on the sofa beside Sabertooth and hands him a glass.

“Why are you nostalgic all of a sudden?” Asked Rocky as he pours himself a glass before handing the bottle to Chris.

“You know… A week from now, I will be heading into the biggest night of my wrestling career. Looking back now, I can say that I always thought I’d make it. But back then, I couldn’t in my wildest dreams imagine I’d be living in this house, working all around the world doing what I love, and actually making a living out of it. I don’t know how I feel about it. For one, I am really happy on how things turned out. But there’s a certain level of uncertainty with what lies ahead of me at Final Destination and moving beyond that.” Said Chris as he blankly stares at the screen ahead of him, lost in thought.

“What are you worried about? You did this! All of this! I know how big Final Destination is for you and for OWA, so I can understand the nerves getting to you. But if anybody can pull it off, it’s you! I have seen you do this for a better part of 7 years. I believe in you, Chris.” Said Rocky as Chris simply nods in agreement. He looks at the screen and presses a button on his remote.

The scene begins backstage, behind the curtains to center stage. A young Sabertooth suddenly bursts through the curtains to a round of applause as he limps his way to his friend, O’Shea, who hugs him. Sabertooth has a title in hand as thanks everyone backstage before walking towards the camera.

“I knew it! You’d never call me to these shows but you were surprisingly adamant tonight. Let me see it…” Asked O’Shea as he grabs the title off Sabertooth.

“Damn! I thought these were supposed to be a lot shinier.” Said O’Shea, sarcastically.

“And you wonder why I don’t call you to these shows. It’s my first championship ever! It would help if you were happier for me, but I digress. You see… That’s why I called Dennis. I told him to record all of this, so that you can look back to this moment because I may not be reachable, when I become a star.” Said Chris, jokingly as O’Shea breaks into laughter. “Oh by the way, thanks Dennis!” Continued Sabertooth.

“It’s my pleasure, Chris” Replied the cameraman, Dennis. A childhood friend of Chris and O’Shea.

“Jokes aside, I am really proud of you. I knew you were good but I had no idea you were this good.” Said O’Shea with a smirk on his face.

“That I am. I really want to stick it to the man right now. Though he’d probably laugh it off and say it’s not worth a damn.” Said Chris, talking about his father.

“He’d probably be like, ‘I guess, that’s good. Nothing beats an Olympic medal though.’ Mocked O’Shea as all three of them break into laughter.

“Honestly man. If it wasn’t an O’Shea family tradition to join the Law and Enforcement, I would tag with you. We could travel the world and win championships all over. But… I am happy you could come today. And better keep your schedule open because you’re going to be seeing a lot of this in the future.” Said Chris, enthusiastically, having a look at the title.

“You better believe it. I am not missing anything!” Said O’Shea as they head out through the back door as the scene ends.

“So, that’s O’Shea. Honestly, I am surprised you never showed this to me. I know what he meant to you. It’s a touchy subject, so I won’t delve any further. But he seemed like a great friend.” Said Rocky, trying to diffuse the tension in the air. Sabertooth might not be the same man he was three years ago, but the thought of losing your best friend is not something you can forget.

“Actually, I don’t mind you talking about it. Not you. When others bring it up for the sake of ‘mind games’ as they call it, is what angers me. It’s the predictable thing to go after! But I don’t blame them considering what happened earlier. Havoc spawned off the constant reminded of losing somebody, which at the time, I blamed myself for. But I don’t feel bad looking at this. Rather, I feel some sort of satisfaction looking how far I have come. Seeing that everything O’Shea and I dreamt of, is now a reality. I know for a fact that he would be proud of what I have become.” Said Chris with a faint smile on his face.

“Of course he would. I understand why you’re watching all of this, Chris. I know that you’ve been restless ever since you failed to capture the Omega Heavyweight Championship at Clash of the Titans. You are looking back to your journey, reliving the small moments that made you love this business. Now, years have gone by, and you have had a fair share of success. You still are a young blood when it comes to wrestling, but you have seen it all. The ups and downs that this business has to offer. So, why is this bothering you as much?” Inquired Rocky. Chris’s expression changes as he switches off the TV and turns his attention to Rocky.

“Why is it bothering me? That’s the question on everybody’s mind. It’s not like I haven’t lost before. I have failed to capture titles on various occasions and I have come out of it stronger and more determined than before. But that was me from years ago. Having done this for as long as I have, my expectations from myself changed. You can clearly see in these videos how happy I am in these small moments of victory. I was genuinely enjoying life, working my ass of to make a name for myself. But having done that, everything changed. I didn’t head into Clash of the Titans hoping to give Jacob Senn the best match of his career. I didn’t do it to just get the best out of him. I did it to WIN. But I failed to do that. I FAILED on realizing my dreams of headlining the biggest show of the year. I FAILED to keep my promise to O’Shea. You know what really hurts? People shower me with praise for my efforts and how close I really got to achieving my dreams. BUT THAT’S NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Nothing really is, at this point.” Said Sabertooth as frustration takes over him. Rocky is surprised to see his friend in such a state as he leans in to check on Sabertooth.

“Chris… You can always talk to me when something is bothering you. It’s better to take it off your chest than to keep all of this in. This isn’t healthy for you. I don’t…” Said Rocky but Chris interrupts him.

“You don’t want me to go back to being a lunatic. Am I right? That’s the major concern that you have? You are scared that I will go back to being Havoc and will lose my mind all over again. That will not be a good image for your company, isn’t it? NO! NO! I am sorry. I didn’t mean to put you under the spot like this. It’s just that, the frustration of not being able to get the job done is eating me inside. I had a chance… I had an opportunity to earn my way back to the Omega Heavyweight Championship. All I had to do was to win the Eight Pack Challenge and I could have main evented Final Destination instead of Nas or Tarah. BUT I FAILED. I claim to be the last ‘REAL’ wrestler left in this industry but when it came down to the wire, I failed to beat CM Nas. It all came crashing down to me. Maybe… Maybe I am not as good as I thought? Maybe I don’t belong at the top of food-chain. But another opportunity, that I am truly thankful for came along my way. The Ascension to the Heaven’s Briefcase matchup with the winner getting a title shot of his choosing, at any time. And all these thought that were piling up, week after week, finally blew up. I knew what I had to do and I beat Bull Connors to earn my spot. So, you may be wondering just like the rest of them… How will this be any different than the last two chances I had to earn a world title shot?” Asked Chris but Rocky had no answer to what Chris had to say. Rocky looked worried for Chris, who wasn’t having any of it.

“Good... You have nothing to say. But I know what you feel deep down? You think I am failure, don’t you? Well, I wouldn’t blame you, seeing how things have transpired over the last few months. I went from being the man to end Gareth Cason’s historic reign as the TV Champion to being nothing but a failure. I get it.. I REALLY FUCKING DO. But I have wasted far too long wondering on what I would have done differently to be the TOP champion right now. I HATE IT… I ABSOLUTELY HATE WHAT I HAVE BECOME. I always thought that I was a step above everybody else. I thought I was untouchable in the ring. But all these incidents in the past few months have brought me crashing down to reality. And it was the sort of reality check you need to clearly see the picture. All I know is that I have had enough… I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF BEING A FUCKING FAILURE. I knew what I was getting into when I decided to return to wrestling and I had set goals for me to achieve within my first year in this company. Although I am no rookie, I wanted to be the breakout star and be labeled the FUTURE of OWA. While I have achieved these goals to some extent, it’s still not good enough. I want to be the VERY BEST to ever lace their boots and being top 5 does not cut it! I HAVE GONE THROUGH FAR TOO MUCH TO GIVE UP NOW. I HAVE WAITED FOR FAR TOO LONG TO NOT BE AT THE VERY TOP OF THIS INDUSTRY. I NEED this win. I …. I WILL WIN. Gareth Cason, Mongoose McQueen, Nathan Fiora, Persephone Bane and Diantha Moreau. Some of the very best their shows have to offer. In a way, all of us are on the same boat. Desperate to get an opportunity to make it to the top. That’s what makes each and every one of them a threat. I don’t know if I have a game-plan yet because I am too focused on end result. That briefcase holds an opportunity to redeem myself. It’s for my own good… This unhealthy obsession that I have developed over winning the World Championship will take me down a path that I don’t want to revisit. And… This… This might be my last chance. Do you understand me, Rocky?” Asked Sabertooth as he takes in a deep breath.

“I.. I don’t know what to tell you. All I care about is your safety and I don’t feel good about the way you’re approaching this. Don’t forget who you are, Chris. You are STILL the last REAL wrestler in this business. You are STILL the man who ended the unstoppable reign of Gareth Cason. You lit a fire under Jacob Senn forcing him to give it his all only for him to narrowly escape with the title. You took CM Nas to his limits. You EARNED your opportunities and made everybody take note of your capabilities.YOU ARE STILL THE SAME MAN! YOU ARE STILL THE BEST FUCKING WRESTLER I HAVE EVER SEEN. So, don’t you fucking dare look down upon yourself. If not for yourself, then do it for O’Shea. Do it for the people that care about you. Do it for redemption. Because Christopher Sabertooth. This isn’t a pity party and you won’t be getting anything out of me. Regardless of your behavior, I won’t call you pathetic. That’s because I know who you really are. Just look within yourself and find it again. FInd the confident Sabertooth who didn’t give a damn about anything else but himself and his legacy. Find the man who put the money where the mouth is and delivered every single time. FIND HIM, CHRIS. BECAUSE THIS IS NOT YOU. DON’T GO DOWN THAT PATH AGAIN. YOU SACRIFICED THREE YEARS OF YOUR LIFE SITTING IN YOUR ASS HOPING YOU COULD MAKE A RETURN. DON’T LET IT GO TO WASTE.” Screamed Rocky as Sabertooth blankly stares back at him. Rocky was hoping his words would get to him and boost his morale before the biggest night of his career. Chris suddenly springs back to his feet.

“You… You have got a point. I cannot waste the opportunity in front of me by delving deep into the past. What happened cannot be changed and I guess I will have to live with it. Final Destination has to be different. Change that… Final Destination will be different. This journey I started isn’t going to end over a few losses. Opportunities like these don’t come very often and I have a chance to not only win the Ascension to the Heaven’s Briefcase but also possibly cash it in in the MAIN EVENT and cementing my legacy. That’s something that I have been striving for since the day I stepped foot in OWA. Thank you, Rocky. Thank you for reminding me of who I am and what I am capable of. I know that the past few months haven’t been ideal. Final Destination will NOT go down as yet another failure for Christopher Sabertooth. It’s not going to be easy. But it won’t be a Christopher Sabertooth story if it were easy. Life has always thrown a curve ball along my way and I have hit it for the fences every single time. I will do this for O’Shea… I will do this for my dreams. I WILL DO IT BECAUSE I AM THE LAST REAL WRESTLER. I AM THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA. AND I FUCKING PROMISE YOU… I WILL KICK THEIR HEADS OFF AND ASCEND TO THE TOP OF THE LADDER, BOTH LITERALLY AND FIGURATIVELY, AT THE BIGGEST SHOW OF THEM ALL.” Exclaimed Chris as Rocky has a huge grin on his face.

“AND THAT… THAT WILL BE YOU REALITY.” Said Rocky as both Chris and Rocky embrace each other. Sabertooth’s frustration had turned into determination. Sabertooth had finally regained his confidence after a string of losses. At least on the surface.

Fade to black.
